The new 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine Ranger, due in showrooms this month, will be priced from £19,972, according to Ford.
In details released today, the manufacturer states the added engine power will give the 4×4 an "added competitive advantage", with the top spec model coming in at £20,872 on the road.
Other features on Ranger include leather seats, electric windows and air-conditioning. Drivers will also have choice between the Double Cab Thunder automatic or the manual Wildtrak models.
Those who opt for the Wildtrak 4×4 will also be able to take advantage of an "ergonomically-proven driving position".
Ford adds that the Wildtrack limited edition is "visually distinguished by the unique optional limited-edition chilli orange or passion red, combined with titanium grey on the lower part of the body … the Wildtrak adopts a sporting focus to the pickup theme".
In related Ford news, yesterday saw the manufacturer highlight that the Auto Express magazine had named the Mondeo as its car of the year.
